After Team India posted hefty target of 361 runs in front of New Zealand now it was the turn of New Zealand to chase the target. In order to open the innings for New Zealand Martin Guptill and Brendon MCCullum came in the middle. Both of them took the team off to brisk start and went on to add 94 runs in 15 overs. Guptill was looking dangerous but spinner R. Ashwin removed him in no time at 38 runs. Shortly after this Brendon McCullum to got run out at the total of 118 runs. McCullum made 58 runs in 54 balls with 7 fours.

Spearhead fast bowler Zaheer Khan has returned to the Indian cricket team for the remaining three games of the ODI series against New Zealand as per the latest announcement.
Zaheer incidentally had missed the first two after having sustained a groin injury on Thursday. The Selectors have however decided to rest Suresh Raina and Sreesanth in wake of the upcoming South Africa Tour.

New Zealand Cricket team has put up a brave show of exemplary cricket on Indian soil since landing in India. This wonderful show of great cricket by New Zealand has troubled Indian team through out the test series so far. As a result of it ongoing test series between India Vs New Zealand is still locked with 0-0 score line even after first two test matches of three test match series have been played. First and second test match ended in a draw.

At the end of day three of the second test match between India and New Zealand, India was anticipating Harbhajan Singh’s century on fourth day when India was 436 for the loss of nine wickets with Harbhajan at 85 and Sreesanth at 14. They had already surpassed the earlier record of tenth wicket partnership for India. Harbhajan was all roaring for his second consecutive test century against New Zealand and of his career with 7 fours and 5 sixes already on board. Sreesanth was playing wisely to support Harbhajan.
