4th Npower Test match of Npower Test Series between Pakistan Vs England is over now.  This test match has been won by England comfortable. England did not have to put special efforts in order to win this test match. The effort that England made in the first innings through Jonathan Trott and Quickie Stuart Broad was the only one special effort that England was forced to put.

Due to this extraordinary effort of these two players England managed to put the total of 446 runs on the board in this 4th Npower Test match. Otherwise Pakistani bowling attack made the bunny of English batting line up in the first innings. When England came out to bat Pakistani fast bowlers started playing havoc with English batting line up. No English player in this test match could face the ferocious pace attack of Pakistan. Once upon a time England was 102/7 when Stuart broad joined Jonathan Trott on the pitch. Both of them added 332 runs for the partnership of eighth wicket.

This helped England not only in posting a challenge in front of Pakistan but in avoiding humiliation also.

After the fall of Stuart Broad’s wicket England got all out on 446 runs. Now Pakistani players had a challenge of crossing 446 runs. But English bowlers had some other intentions in their mind. English bowlers also played havoc with Pakistan batting line up and bundled Pakistan out at 74 runs only.

In this English bowlers scattered the Pakistan team like a peck of cards. No Pakistan batsmen could cope with the pace and line and length of English bowlers. In this way Pakistan gave England a heavy lead of 372 runs to rule the test match the way they wanted.

Now England was feeling cozy in the quilt made of lead of 372 runs. So England team decided to give Pakistan follow-on. After the Pakistan was asked to follow on by England Pakistani players came to the ground for follow-on.

But again the same Pakistan repeated the story of the first innings. Before the end of 3rd days play of the 4th and last Npower Test match here at lords Pakistan had lost their first 4 key players just on 41 runs.
Main culprit of pushing Pakistan on the brink of humiliating defeat was Graeme Swann who did not allow any Pakistan player to spend much time on the pitch with his spinning deliveries.

When any team is on the verge of loosing the test match that never gives up some simple principles of the play like getting your body warmed up. But no Pakistani player followed this principle on the morning of the 4th day of the lords test match. Neither any Pakistani player came out nor did they prepare themselves for the play through calisthenics. Everyone got amazed the no player from Pakistani side has been seen on the ground up to 10:00 am in the morning. Moreover, the matter of amazement is this that Pakistan team did not come on the ground even when England team had come.

At this point once again everyone was thinking that Pakistani team is once again going to insult the game like they did last time on their England tour. But this time thanks to Pakistan team for not doing so. Pakistan players had promised everyone for not doing this again. Entire Pakistan team fulfilled the promise. At last not out batsmen Umar Akmal and Azhar Ali of Pakistan came on the ground and the play started.

But the way Pakistani team lost 4 wickets before the stumps of 3rd day’s play one this was sure that 2nd innings of Pakistan will also come to an end very shortly on 4th day. It started turning out to be the fact when Graeme Swann of England broke through his 10th ball of the day by removing overnight batsman Azhar Ali.

At the removal of Azhar Ali Swann was given a lackluster kind of celebration by England players because all the players knew very well that their performance in this match will be tarnished and doubted forever despite a brave fight back by them. Despite knowing all this all English players did not give up their professionalism.

So keeping professionalism in their mind all the English players did everything like some professional player. England seriously remained professional in terms of efforts for wining this test match. This true professionalism helped England in wining the test match easily by removing the rest of the wickets.

In the second innings no Pakistani player could face ferocious bowling of England bowlers again. Entire Pakistan team got all out on 147 runs. Pakistan somehow managed to avoid becoming the first team to be dismissed below hundred in both the innings of the test match in England since 1958. But Pakistan team should be thankful to Umar Gul who came good with the bat and saved Pakistan from facing this humiliation. Umar gul remained the top scorer for Pakistan in the second innings with 79*. Had Umar Gul not shown his batting skills just at the nick of time so the defeat of Pakistan could be more devastating..

In this way Pakistan lost the 4th Npower test match by the massive margin of 225 runs. This defeat of Pakistan again England in the series helped England in elongating the margin of series win from 2-1 t o 3-1 in the series. Moreover, with this win England has won the Npower test Series also.

But this win is neither going to be a sweet memory for England players nor it is likely to be written in the history of English cricket in golden ink due to the match fixing revelations that came out in the morning of 4th day of the 4th Npower Test Series. In this way this glorious wn registered by England in the 4th test match of NPower test series against Pakistan has got frittered.
