Ind vs SL Result with Scorecard: Sri Lanka blows India off At Dambulla Single Handedly

After being put under the fire of delivering a deliberate no-ball Sri Lankan team needed something quickly to remove this stigma. So in today’s encounter there were lots of things on the stake for both the teams. Whereas Indian team was looking forward to retort Sri Lanka so at the same time Sri Lankan team was looking forward to bounce back in the tournament with a bang in order to secure their berth for the final of the ongoing tri-series.

Today’s India vs Sri Lanka encounter was a crucial one for both the teams. After the no –ball controversy everybody expected some sort of heating arguments between the players on the field.  In addition to this all the fans were also hoping to witness a nail-biter I today’s Ind Vs Sl match. Especially after the no-ball controversy this match was considered to be a battle of pride as well for both the teams. So right from the word go both teams tried to go hard at each other. But it was Sri Lankan team that succeeded in it.

In today’s India vs Sri Lanka cricket match at Dambulla both the teams once again came across each other. When coin toss took place so the coin fell in the favor of Indian Skipper Mahender Singh Dhoni. After winning the toss Indian Captain Mahender Singh Dhoni showed no hesitation in batting first.

How much important today’s match of India vs Sri Lanka  was it can be judged by the the type of pitch that was made. Today’s pitch was likely to support quickies early on. And in order to post a good total on the board Indian batsman needed to see off the new ball phlegmatically because the ball was always likely to move and assist new ball bowlers.. That is exactly what happened in the match. Ball moved and moved a lot. Pitch supported and supported the bowlers fully. Moreover, Sri Lankan bowlers made the best use of the conditions and moving ball in a grand style.

Today it was looking as if Sri Lankan team is hell-bent on destroying Indian team. In addition to it Sri Lankan team was looking as if they are in the ground with some purpose. In order to fulfill their purpose Sri Lankan players came hard at Indian team right from the word go.

Early removal of Indian openers Virender Sehwag and Dinesh Karthick testifies about it loudly. But Sri Lankan bowlers were not looking satisfied with this only. So as the game went ahead Sri Lankan bowlers Nuwan Kulasekara and Thisara Perera  cut Indian down to size after sometime completely as Indian team got bundled out at meager 103 runs in 30.2 overs.  Moreover, in this way Thisara Perera took the first fiver of his career. Thisara Perera took 5 wickets in 7.4 overs at the cost of 28 runs only.

Today no Indian batsman except Yuvraj Singh could face the fury of Sri Lankan bowling attack. Only Yuvraj was the one who stood tall and made 38 runs before being a victim to umpire’s wrong decision. But even if he would have been given not out so it would not have denied the inevitable in today’s India vs Sri Lanka match. Only thing that could be possible is that Sri Lankan team would have had to make some more runs in order to secure their place for the final Match. But if Indian team got 103 runs on the board so Yuvraj Singh should be thanked for it who showed some guts, seriousness and more importantly application that was really required.  Otherwise Indian team was tottering at 50/4 at one stage.

Today’s match once again made the weakness of Indian players of not being able to handle moving deliveries public. At one hand we talk about winning the 2011 world cup at home but on the other hand it seems as if our players do not even want to work heard for it. They wish to win the world championship but they do not wish to sweat for removing their weaknesses in order to wear the crown of the world champions.

If Indian players are aspirants of wining the world cup 2011 on home soil so they need to bear one thing in their mind that they will be able to do so only if the remove their weaknesses as early as possible. Otherwise they will have to repent just like today.

In today’s all important Ind vs Sl cricket match Nuwan Kulasekara and Thisara Perera were the main causes of India’s defeat. Nuwan kulasekara gave two big jolts of 440 volts in the shape of Virender Sehwag and Dinesh Karthick after which Indian team never looked like recovering. So far as Thisara Perera is concerned so he took five wickets and bundled India out on 103 runs. When Sri Lankan team came to chase the target so they never looked in any sort of trouble. Sri Lankan openers Mahela Jayewardene and Tilakratne Dilshan gave brisk start to the team and dashed Indian’s hopes of making a some kind of fight in this match. Bothe the players added 79 runs for the partnership of first wicket.

Mahela Jayewardene made 33 runs and Tilakratne Dilshan Made 35 runs before getting victim to Ishant Sharma. But Upul Tharanga and Sri Lankan Captain Sangakkara denied anymore wickets to Indian bowers and took the team home without anymore hiccups.

After the match if we look at the scorecard of the Indian team so we feel like laughing our ass out because scorecard of the Indian team was looking like an international dialing code.

In today’s match of Ind Vs Sl for thrashing defeat against Sri Lanka only Nuwan Kulasekara and Thisara Perera of Sri Lanka are not responsible rather they got lot of help in fulfilling their job from the irresponsible Indian batsmen also who did not apply themselves on the pitch. If somebody knew the importance of today’s India vs Sri Lanka match so it was only Yuvraj Singh who showed serious application on the pitch before becoming a victim to umpire’s controversial decision.

Now after tasting a crushing defeat in today’s match of India vs Sri Lanka men in blue will face New Zealand in the next match. So it will be a do or die match for both the teams as both India and Zew Zealand need to win this match desperately in order to face the hosts Sri Lanka in the final of the ongoing triangular cricket tournament.

So we all hope that this time Indian team will walk into the ground with sufficient homework. Moreover, this homework will be applied on the pitch properly. Winner of India vs New Zeeland match will face host Sri Lanka in the Final of the triangular series Hopefully it will be India Vs Sri Lanka..
