Both of them not only denied Indians the quick end of Sri Lankan innings but also scored at furious pace like some proper batsman. Both Herath and Malinga scored half centuries. Rangna scored 80 runs whereas Malinga scored 64 runs.

Sri Lankan tem declared the innings after putting on a gigantic total of 520 runs on the board. Then they called Indian team to chase down what was always to be a hard nut to crack.  It turned out to be the fact as the Indian team lost three wickets cheaply. First Gautam Gambhir got out only on 2 runs then the wall of India got a crack in itself and got run out.

Then master blaster became the victim of the man who is soon going to call it a day named Murlidharan on the score of 8 runs only.

But after this virender sehwag decided to take the challenge on his shoulders and decided to show the Lankans that why is he considered to a the most dangerous and destructive batsman that history has ever witnessed.

After the removal of top three companions started blasting Sri Lankan Bowling attack single handedly and went to make a furious ton for his nation. But he soon got out after scoring a ton. Before getting out he made 109 runs.

Najafgarh Nawaab Vriender Sehwag fought the battle lonely and no other player could support him for long time.

Although Skipper Mahender Singh Dhoni and Youvraj Singh fought their heart out but it turned out to be insufficient as the spin wizard Murli played the Murli of Indian wickets in a style as if he will gulp the Indian batting line up alone. Soon he removed Indian tail also and bundled the Indian team on meager 276 runs.

Spin wizard Murli is playing his last test match of his career against the Indian team in front of his home crowd got the price wicket the world’s greatest batsman Sachin Tendulkar as a treat that he can enjoy forever and share with his kith and kins through out his career.

It is not the first time when he has got the wicket of Sachin in his career but this is something special for him as it is his last test match.

By getting out on 276 runs Indian team has given Sri Lankan team a towering lead of 244 runs. Sri Lankan team is trying hard to make the most of this heavy lead. So far they have once again removed two of the opening wickets of the Indian batting line up quickly once again and put India on the back foot.

In the second innings they have removed Gautam Gamvhir Cheaply. But they heaved a huge sigh of relief when they saw Master Blaster Virender Sehwag going back to the pavilion after making quick fired 31 runs.

Now the Indian team is playing for a draw and Little Champion Sachin Tendulkar and Mr. dependable Rahul Dravid are once again showing their class and proving that why they have been given these tags.

Both of them are playing very hard and persevering in order to take the boat of the safely to the shore of draw.

So far Indian team has lost 2 wickets in their second innings and made 124 runs. Both Sachin and Dravid are looking very comfortable but still there is a long way to go as they have one more day after this to survive.
