It is true that although Pakistan lost the 2nd test match at Edgbaston yet England was tested to the limit. After being pushed at the verge of a crushing and humiliating defeat in Edgbaston Pakistan defiantly put a fight with the help of Zulqarnain Haider and Mohammed Amir.

In this test after being pushed to the verge of a defeat English team was feeling as if they are in heaven but Pakistan did not let it happen. Although England won yet this victory did not come easily. In this Zulqarnain Haider and Mohammed Amir badly frustrated the English team. As a result of it English quickie Stuart broad got mad in anger and injured Zulqarnain Haider deliberately. As a result of it zulqarnian Haider got injured badly and he is out of the rest of the series now.

After winning the 2nd Npower test at Edgbaston England is now looking forward to a thumping whitewash in the 3rd Npower test match at The Oval. England team is badly desperate for a whitewash against Pakistan as the countdown for Ashes has started. Moreover, if England does it so it will be a warning bell for Australian team because Aussie Skipper Ricky Ponting has started playing mind games just before the Ashes. In his recent statement given in the media Ricky Ponting has said that “Although legends like Glenn McGrath, Jason Gillespie and Shane Warne are not in the team yet our team is potent enough to complete a thumping Whitewash in the ashes against England.”

So England players are dying to complete whitewash against Pakistan in order to ring a warning bell for Australia and answer Ricky Ponting with their standard of game.
