Lalit Modi May Seek Extension of Closing Date

Former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi is expected to have an extension of the deadline given to him by the cricket authorities to give his answers to the BCCI charge sheet. With the deadline to file the answer ending today, it is not known whether BCCI will grant his requests if and when it is received. Modi was suspended on 26th April.

Sources told “He has asked for some documents from the BCCI to file his replies but has not got them yet. So he is likely to seek an extension today from the BCCI pending receipt of the said documents”.

Suspended Commissioner has been sent a showcause notice by BCCI asking him to answer to a slew of alleges relating to the conduct of the high-profile T20 event.
