Five years ago when Michael Clarke participated in the first ever international T-20 match, against New Zealand, “entertainment” was very much emphasized.

Players of New Zealand wore dress of retro kit, with some sport hairstyles more related with 60s and 70s.

Captain of Australia, Ricky Ponting made 98 as his team won by score of 44 in Auckland but queried whether the “novelty” of T-20 would endure.

The Australian cricket remained concerned very much on Tests and ODI so that team’s defeat by Zimbabwe at the opening World T-20 in Cape Town was brushed aside by Australian fans.

Australian team was well defeated by India in the semi -final of 2007 and at the end in year’s edition in England, they were knocked out in 3 days after conquers by the West Indies and Sri Lanka
